So, I had thought that this would be great to throw over the edge of Nicholsons Trench here in Wellington. Maybe try for a Hapuka or Bluenose on the way home from an attempt at SBT. However, the weather has pretty much kept me on land for all of June, and certainly not far enough offshore to try out this big boy. What I can say, is that it is plenty heavy, the product seems well made. Paint finish is very good. As for the lure, it is quite a funny one, the 'Head' is heavy, but also the hook set has a very large sinker in the head of the skirt. Quite interesting and I did not expect that. Skirt is as always with GlowBite very pliable, and hopefully will last a hammering for the Barracouta on the way down. I'm sad to say, I can't upload a picture of a great looking fish, so, just imagine me, with a bass at 165cm or similar grinning while struggling to hold it. No, picture you going to the store, grabbing a great lure, catch the fish I hoped to, because you live somewhere outside the tornado zone called Wellington. I am a Fishing Innovators subscriber and the new Lightning Bolt jig in Tropical Sunset colour just arrived. Looks amazing also. Whew - so much fishing to do, so few weather windows.
